Patronage Dividend Distribution | Fall 2026
Patronage dividends from 2025, 2024, and 2023 are now available to eligible owners of the Marquette Food Co-op.
The Marquette Food Co-op’s (MFC) Board of Directors has voted to allocate patronage income from 2025 to the members. Total income from 2025 was $253,605. Of this amount, 20%, or $50,721, will be returned to members in a dividend. Additionally, the board voted to return $100,000 of undistributed patronage income from the year 2024 and remaining dividend from 2023 in the amount of $55,601. Total dividend from these years returned is $206,322.
These dividends are payable only to people who were members of the MFC during these years. The MFC retains member records from these years, and dividend amounts are determined based on a member’s contribution to the profit of the store through their purchasing.
Members will not receive a dividend of less than $5 dollars. Members who have actively shopped in the last year and have an email or mailing address on file will receive dividends as credit on their store account. Please make sure the contact information on your owner account is current — this information can be updated at the Customer Service Desk at the store or through this online form.
The credit may be used to purchase more groceries, or a member may request, at the register, that it be returned to them as cash. Cash will only be returned to the primary account holder, and valid ID will be required to process the request. Check with a cashier to see if funds have been added to your account.
Dividends greater than $150 cannot be requested as cash at the register, these will be distributed by check. If you would like to receive a check for your dividend, please contact our Finance Director, Kat, at finance@marquettefood.coop. Please allow up to one week for processing check requests.
Any dividends unclaimed after 90 days will return to the MFC as per the MFC bylaws.
The date of distribution is September 9, 2026. The final day to claim your dividend is December 7, 2026.
