Hands-on Pasta Class with Julie Morelli from Nourishing Notes - your friendly pasta pal :)

Join Julie for a super fun evening filled with hands-on pasta learning and a light pasta meal. In this class we’ll make a quintessential pasta dough with flour, eggs, our hands and matarello (rolling pin). This is OLD SCHOOL. Nonna style. Not many people do it anymore and she’s so excited to share it with you. 

Julie will give a brief overview of flour & egg pastas, where they come from and their characteristics. You’ll then each mix your own dough and I’ll show you how to roll it out. You’ll then make two traditional shapes : Garganelli and Farfalle.  

Julie is a Chicago-based home cook who is passionate about pasta. Born in the Detroit suburbs, she grew up making pasta with her Italian grandparents and has since traveled to Italy multiple times, asking every Nonna she can find about regional pastas and handmade techniques. She can’t wait to share them with you!
