Have you heard a birdsong in the woods and wished to know what it was? Have you wished you knew the name of the lovely bird by your window? If so, you may be ready to be a birder.
A birder hones their senses to better see, hear, and know the lives of birds. A birder no longer wishes to understand the bird outside their window: they share a unique connection with it and the nature that surrounds them.
Matthew Betts will walk you through the equipment and techniques of birding, discussing the birds of our region and why birding is good for both the birds and us.
Tea, water, and snacks will be provided.
Free to all, though donations will be accepted to help provide more birding events in the future. No registration is required.
