The need for a human resources department at MFC quickly became apparent a few years ago when two store expansions rocketed the number of employees from three to almost fifty. There are two distinct functions of the dept: one is to maintain employee records and ensure that employment policies are fair, adhered to and consistent with labor laws, and the other is to provide work-related support and advice to the staff. The dept. coordinates wages, benefits, training, performance evaluations and educational opportunities as well as social functions throughout the year. We believe that a well-trained, adequately compensated and happy staff can provide the excellent service that is expected at MFC, and because of this, we pride ourselves on creating and maintaining an enviable work environment.
