Classes
We provide many cooking classes and educational workshops throughout the year to your community.
Getting to Know Your Co-op classes are offered every 2nd Monday at 7pm and 3rd Thursday at 8am of each Month in our upstairs conference room. Co-op owners as well as those interested in becoming owners are invited to attend this free one-hour class. An overview of our Co-op, a comprehensive store tour, and time for questions are all part of it. Pre-registration is required. Sign up in our store at the service counter or call Sarah at 225-0671 ext. 23.
Living Gluten-Free classes are offered every first Monday of the month at 7pm in our upstairs conferece room. Let us help you or a loved one discover the delicious world of gluten-free living. Enjoy delicious gluten-free samples donated by Bakery on Main, Enjoy Life, Mary's Gone Crackers, Nana's Cookie Company, and Liz Lovely. Everyone is welcome to attend this free class. No registration required.
Cooking Classes are held at the Marquette High School in the Home Economics room. Topics include all sorts of international and non-traditional cooking styles and techniques. The cost is $20 for non-owners and $10 for owners. Pre-registration is required by calling 906-225-5290. Hurry as these classes fill up fast!
Educational Workshops are held at the Peter White Public Library in the Lower Level and at the Mather Building in Munising during the school year and at the Marquette Farmers' and Artists' Market at the Commons building in downtown Marquette. There are a variety of topics that range from eating organics on a budget to bee- keeping. These classes are free to owners and community with a suggested donation of $3 to help us cover our costs.
